Anne of Green Gables -- Chapter 1
Some suggested topics for research for tomorrow's book discussion -- Kellie will prepare a short biography of L.M. Montgomery; Chiemi will prepare a short discussion of fashion of the time, i.e., what does "he wore a white collar" mean; Jennie will prepare a discussion of where is Avonlea and Green Gables and I will prepare a short multiple guess quiz about chapter 1. How does that sound? None of this is set in stone but it will add to our discussion I think. Thoughts?

Sounds fun! I love fashion. Oooh can I do a continuous commentary of the "whys" of the fashion of that time?! I love love love studying historical fashion.
Absolutely -- as we know fashion plays a very important role in the book and your insights would be extremely interesting. Thanks for thinking of that!!

Well, we can't start without you either! And Christy goes to lunch at 1...I generally take mine at the same time but that doesn't matter since I'm here anyways for lunch.

Just start in the morning, really. That would be best for everyone else I think. We can finish after lunch.

Okay, I think that I can host one through my website. I'm going to look around. I can have it ready to try out by tomorrows discussion.
Hopefully my work wouldn't block it. We'll see.
