Anagrams are new words created from the letters of another word. For example, one anagram of the word EVIL is LIVE; another is VILE. Another example is STARCH, which has an anagram in the word CHARTS. Below are five words. See if you can come up with at least one anagram for each one.
1. MILES
2. GREASE
3. HORNETS
4. SCREAM
5. TRAINS
Today's bonus question: A box of candy can be divided equally (without cutting pieces) among 2, 3, or 7 people. What is the least number of pieces of candy the box could contain?

I'll get back to you on the bonus one, I am sitting her trying to mulitply and divide and it keeps getting bigger!
I got it!! I did it by doing the multiples of 7 and then seeing if it was divisible by 2 and 3. The first multiple of 7 that worked was 42.
7 people get 6
3 people get 14
2 people get 21
I got the same answers as Chiemi for the words (I had a HARD time figuring "Grease" for some reason!) and 42 for the bonus.
Wow! You sure went into detail on that bonus problem! I just kinda went...well...7*3 is 21 but that doesn't divide by 2 so I'll multiply it by 2 and voila! (Keep in mind that I am in math right now and just finished a section on counting and stuff)
I know what you mean about grease Kellie! That was the last one I figured out.
I like being detailed when I am the first to post incase someone can't figure it out. I like it when others explain how they did things so I can get it.
Your reasoning was really good jennie! I would have never thought of that. Smarty pants. :)
